I was fortunate enough to see Pi in complete 3D Imax at a pre-viewing in San Diego last night, and as a Huge fan of the book, I was extremely pleased. Believe it or not, I was more pleased with the casting choices and performances of the players than by the effects.

Provided, the film was very amazing, but in the end, Life Of Pi was more personality motivated than anything. Suraj Sharma as the younger Pi was amazing, crazy, as well as interesting, while Irrfan Khan as the mature Pi was remarkably authentic and heated. Adil Hussain as Pi's dad was also a joy to look at. The figures are so wealthy and energetic that you really can't help but drop madly in really like with them. I would also like to add, as someone who usually spends time with lions on a regular foundation, the computer artists did a amazing and precise job of providing Rich Parker alive and creating him the effective and important personality that is so amazingly important to the achievements of this tale.
